At the annual Sports & Societies Awards dinner and ceremony on 23rd April, our club was nominated in three categories. JKA England Kyu Grade National Championships.....
Held at Excel Leisure Centre, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey on Sunday 22 November. We had a squad of 6 competitors from white to green belt only: Darryl Brennan, Brooke Wren, Mark Adamson, Sarah King, Emma Morgan, Beate Rosner.
Fantastic performances from all, with compliments from judges for our squad's attitude. Very special mention to Emma Morgan who took SILVER MEDAL for kata and Sarah King who followed with BRONZE MEDAL in the same event. Sarah then went on to top her earlier kata success, achieving GOLD MEDAL in Sanbon Kumite - our club's first National Champion! JKA report and photos (of us!) here.
